POWER BOATS

Power boats are only permitted to launch and recover from the Harbour and Harbour Slipway.  The speed limit through the Harbour and within Harbour limits is DEAD SLOW.

There is a swim line marked with a series of yellow buoys which run from the North wall of the Cobb across the main beach, parallel to Marine Parade’ to Church Cove adjacent to the clock tower. The eastern end of the swim line is marked with an orange buoy. Power boats must not enter the swimming area to the north of the swim line.

Visitors should be aware that the slipway provides 20m in length and width into the drying harbour bed over which 4-wheel drive vehicles can drive with care at low water. And to make things easier, you can make use of our slipway pontoon whilst you arrange storage for your trailer or vehicle.

Please come and see us in the Harbour office before launching to complete an application form and collect your launch sticker number.

Harbour users launching for the first time this season must provide evidence of Third-party insurance on arrival or launching is not permitted.”
